What is AHA?

Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) is a skin-surface exfoliator that, in skincare, gently melts away dead, dulling cells to reveal smoother, brighter skin. It helps renew texture, fade dark spots and fine lines, and boost radiance so your complexion looks clearer and more luminous.

Is AHA or retinol better for skin?

This depends on your goal. Retinoids are a proven option for anti-ageing effects and do offer some exfoliation. Whereas an AHA product is a targeted exfoliant that can contribute to anti-ageing. It’s possible to use both AHAs and retinol, but ideally not at the same time, as it can irritate your skin. Try our Anti-Ageing Serum and Night Renewal Retinol Serum if you’re looking for alternatives that fight the signs of ageing and improve skin’s hydration. 

Note: do not use the Night Renewal Retinol Serum together with the AHA Resurfacing Serum. They do not play nice together!

Should I use AHA serum in the morning or night?

Our customers report noticeable improvements in their skin when they use our AHA exfoliant overnight. However, it’s safe to use in the morning as it doesn’t contain retinoids (which can be affected by UV light). Add our AHA serum into your daily routine where it makes sense for you!

    A little on the thick side

    The serum is helping lighten dark spots however it seems to have thickened considerably since opening. I dampen hands or face slightly when applying which helps with coverage. This was a free item with my initial purchases. I may buy another depending on results once first bottle has been used :)
